Newcastle Strings

Newcastle Strings is a small, friendly orchestra based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. It has been in existence since the 1930s, and plays a wide variety of music ranging from baroque to contemporary. Our repertoire is not limited to string music, as we often invite a few wind players for concerts. The musical director is Edward Doody.

Newcastle Strings is affiliated to Making Music, the National Federation of Music Societies.
